Floppy Drive

Post by corpse »

Can anyone explain why when you write a file to a floppy, for instance, and take the floppy out that sometimes when you open a word document a little while after that, the floppy drive starts whinning like there is a floppy in it being written to.

Well it might be trying to locate a recently opened document or something like that. Honestly I have no clue, that is just my guess

i've had viruses years ago that that would
keep trying to write to my floppy after i removed the floppy.
the floppy drive would keep seeking a floppy even when there wasn't any in the drive.

i had what was called the
empire stoned monkey virus.
