American Election Predictions

Post by R00k »

The Presidential election is one month away from today - I think it's time everybody ponied up and made their bets for who's going to come out on top.

Personally, I feel pretty good about seeing the McCain campaign drop out of Michigan altogether, seeing the media expose Sarah Palin for the inexperienced and dishonest lobbyist-lover that she is (well, kind of), seeing Obama and Biden benefit so much from the recent economic issues, and feeling fairly confident that they're still going to be here on election day. Also, even with voting machine issues, roll purges and intimidation, it's going to be hard to fake winning when you're so behind in the polls.

I don't know if we can still do post-count bets or not, but if we can, I'm going to go out on a limb, deny my gut feeling, and put 10,000 on Obama/Biden.

Call me an optimist. :)

What about you?

All I'm willing to say is it will be a dirty thirty days coming from the McCain camp and very important for Obama to not have some more crisises occur. As for betting I'd wager about 1000 on Obama because honestly, Americans couldn't seriously be that stupid, could they? And I don't go for deficit spending.

Hey, I said I was optimistic, not a masochist.

Politics in this country is the last thing I would put real money on. :)

And they're electoral college prediction is currently giving a BIG win to Obama, 338 vs 200.

On the other end... let's say McCain wins. Is it time for states like NY and Cali to start talking about secession?

tove would make an excellent politician. anyway, i really hope the american people have the sense to vote obama, but i have a feeling it will be a repeat of 8 years ago and the republicans could snatch it from nowhere.

if there's one thing i can always bet on, it's the grandiose ignorance of the population in the united states of america. i foresee mccain/palin bumperstickers staying on suvs and trucks for at least 4 more years.
