I dunno if they do... it'd have to be done specially.... hope they do if you're a lefty.

Some of the neat stuff is:
-2 swappable grips, one kinda skinny and tall, made from that rough plastic surface that plastic mouse mats are made from. The other is wider and flatter with a kinda satin material on it. Has a big thumb rest. They pop off and secure in place very well.
- Braided mouse cord seems less intrusive than a regular cord...doesn't weight the front of the mouse down as much.
- Scroll wheel can be set to smooth scrolling (and you can spin it and it keeps spinning on its own momentum) or clicky scrolling where you feel every notch
- has a little tray on the back of the mouse that slides out and you can attach 4 weights into the mouse. Comes with a little metal tin (like those mint tins) with 4 x 4g and 4 x 7g weights)
- Mouse software lets you define overarching profiles for the behavior of the mouse. Can be switched between using a toggle on the mouse itself, or using application detection (which is neat... if you switch focus to e.g. firefox.exe it'll toggle a different profile)
- Colour indicator LEDs on the top of the mouse to show what profile is running. I assumed it was just a regular red LED then when it changed to purple and green and stuff I was a bit surprised... neat feature.
- Profile settings will save onto the mouse itself and hence survive a reformat or moving from one OS to another, or plugging into another person's PC (I guess you'd still have to load a copy of setpoint...)

The presentation of the whole thing is kinda ridiculous... they've really gone all-out.

This is what I get my frag on with, and it fits my lefty well enough. http://www.pccana.com/product_info.php? ... =USD&ref=1 My problem is that my ring and pinky fingers tend to hit the thumb buttons at the most in opportune times. I don't know enough about binding buttons to make it do one thing in xp, one thing in office, and one more thing in Q3A. I've been wanting a prime mouse, for my gaming, for some time now. I think I'll get ahold of this company and see what they can do for a southpaw. This ferrari seems well worth the money if I can get it lefty. Thanks Foo.

It's the G5-2 with a different skin and on board memory.

Better wheel and buttons, software's improved and it's a different fit in your hand.

Tech specs on the laser are about the same I think.

i used my g9 for a time but the shape didn't suit me well for gaming. the braided cord wore out where it hung at the backside of my sliding keyboard tray, leaving a big mess of small fibers everywhere.

bought another ms intelli 3.0 and rekindled some old love.

you're a lefty and actually use the mouse with the left? weird! I'm a lefty but I seem to be somewhat ambidextrous since I do alot with my right hand including using the mouse.

But now you got me thinking, maybe I conformed to using right because that's what people used, and to be honest with you I never had that overwhelming feeling of discomfort like I did when my mom tried to so desperately get me to write with my right hand...lol I used to wait till she looked away and switched the pencil to my left to get my homework done! :D needless to say after a while she gave up.

Anyway , you got me thinking that my aiming could have been alot more refined in fps games if I had started using a mouse with my left hand. :p

Yeah. I'm not very good at Q3A, but I gotta a hell of a lot better when I started using the mouse lefty.Oddly enough, I still have to have my boy on-screen hold the weapon in his right hand. :olo: Other apps like Office... well, everything on the comp seemed more natural fer me when I switched the mouse. The keyboard was made fer my right hand. In games, I bound all my keys to the numpad and home/end/insert/...etc. Thumb buttons are enter/shift/ctrl/... etc. I use the directional keys fer movement.

I used to use the directional keys when I first started... the sooner you learn to use 'wasd' the better off you are...there some many more easy key binds around that area compared to the right side of the keyboard.

For something fast-paced like Quake 3, I agree. With the exception of Q3 and third-person shooters (Tomb Raider, Mass Effect, Dead Space, KOTOR) I use the directional keys.

Oh and I've been using the G5 2nd Rev for about half a year now and love it.
