i just rewatched the entire 13 segment series again -- Life on Earth (1979) after a good decade since the last. it still remains a personal highlight in my memory and will continue to be. i have no doubt in my mind that sir david attenborough deserves to be recognized as one of the greatest human beings to have ever lived. i can only hope to be a quarter of the naturalist he is and continues to be. people like him make far greater contributions to this planet than they're ever given credit for.

when i come to europe it'd be nice to get an audience with him. someone help me out

that's probably the case for some. i had the privelage of knowing who he was at a young age since good family friends are zoologists and their daughter was always at our house "playing" with me. they'd have us watch nature related documentaries instead of the "normal" nickelodean or sesami street garbage like most kids would watch.
