Engineers and the Metric System

Post by Peenyuh »

fekkin arseholes!

,96 Blazer. Engine swap. BOTH standard and metric bolts. :tard:
Estimated time of completion has doubled due to systems intertwined with each other. I have to partially disassemble one sys, move to another and do partial, then go back to the previous.

HORSESHIT!!!! >:(

Why don't you have a set of both wrenches? Standard and metric. I do.

I do have both. I've got all kinds of tool... some I'll probably never find a use for. As a guy who does mechanical work daily, though, it's an outrage for someone to design a machine so frivolously. :olo: Freakin engineers never seem to care about the practical application of their designs. The wiring harness is intertwined with the air con which is intertwined with the this which is intertwined with the that which is intertwined with the containment field on Enterprise which is inter... well, you get my point. Anywho, that's why I put this one in the void. Merely bitching about it all. :D

@ seremtan: You said it, man. :owned:

It's simple really. They don't want you to work on it. They want you to bring it in for them to overcharge you to work on it.

I don't want them to win, and I'm too stressed out to keep going. My solution? I'm hiring a mech to turn all the hard bolts. He'll be assisting me. Recessions are great fer finding cheap labor. I did all the technical stuff already. Labeling hookups, setting a plan, smoking mass cigarettes. I'm too old fer this shit. :olo:

I think your title ought to say, "Engineers and the Standard System"

Then the "fekkin arseholes" that follows would be more appropriate.
