You ever feel...

Post by xer0s »

Like you almost want a catastrophic disaster to happen? But one that you can live through. Maybe something like a major sun flare or maybe a Fallout type of situation. It seems like I may feel this way sometimes. Maybe it's because humans have been struggling to survive since forever. And only in the past couple of centuries has the average man been able to live comfortably without fighting for his life. And because of this we feel that loss. Or maybe I'm just crazy. Am I alone on this one or do any of you feel the same?

It's called being bitter and clinically depressed.
Time for the happy pills.

Nah. On my last flight to London three weeks ago, however, I did think about my airplane crashing and me surviving. I though about how it'd make a great story for my kids later.

Just set fire to your house. You'll feel better.

Like Massive says  Trust me I know this.

I used to dream of walking through a crowded area (mall/shopping centres) with a space suit on  You know the one they wore on the moon sort of suit.

I sought help and it was suggested I was an attention getter or I was seeking isolation from my fellow man - WTF did that mean?

Their solution to stop me thinking like this was to still dream, but have some fucker jump out of the crowd and shoot me :ninja:

Needless to say I don't have the same aspirations today (says this glancing at his icon) :olo:

No, I feel pretty good.

But I do hope the LHC rips open spacetime and we all die from that, but only because it would be awesome.

A gamma ray burst wouldn't be a bad way to go either.

Nah. I would love to see what would happen first hand if earth got swallowed up by a black hole though, probably sometime when I'm old and couldn't care less.

When I was on a remote atoll in French Polynesia I thought about what would happen if there was a major worldwide disaster and I was stuck there indefinitely.

...it would have sucked.

I'm pretty sure this gets filed under "completely normal".

Lived through the ice storm in Montreal, and one particularly bad fire season in LA. I've used up my quota already. Now I dream of a quiet, normal life.
