Brian Kilmeade put on a classic display of the way today's right-wingers cling to old half-baked notions of race and eugenics yesterday morning on Fox and Friends, discussing a Scandinavian study of the benefits of marriage:
Kilmeade: Leave it to the Finns and Swedes to come up with something. Because that's a -- we are, we're a, we keep marrying other species and other ethnics and other --
[Crosstalk]
Kilmeade: I mean the Swedes -- the Swedes have, uh, pure genes. Because they marry other Swedes. Because that's the rule. Finland -- Finns marry other Finns, so they have a pure society. In America, we marry everybody. So we marry Italians and Irish and --
Again... how do channels/programs like this (re: any FOX news clips) even exist? I don't get it. Anyone with half a fuckin brain can see that these guys are morons.
For the record: Sweden is one of the best places in the world to live, the women are gorgeous and friendly and the only bad thing about the place is that pot is really, really, really ,really illegal....
....so with regards to the pot, Sweden is exactly like the US but better in every other way.
Slam a conservative for “perceived” comments promoting eugenics but let a liberal wacko like Ginsburg slide who believes it’s acceptable to legalize abortion to curb growth “in populations that we don’t want to have too many of”.
Blacks and Hispanics are 2-3 times more likely to have an abortion over whites based on percentage of overall population and families with incomes less than $60,000 account for 85% of all abortions. Sounds like Ginsburg and others of her ilk are ok with having fewer minorities and poor within the population.
“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion.” Link

lol wut?
She said that's what she thought the general attitude about abortion was when Roe v Wade was decided. She didn't have any say in the case. That quote has nothing to do with her beliefs on abortion.
