OCR PDF image to text - Free App?

The text of some PDF files I have is just pure text on a page but it is not recognized as editable text.

Are there a free app that can do this? I've tried various ones and they are either pay-to-use or don't support PDF.

Is there much text? I don't know if it's alot and not worth hammering out yourself, but a million monkeys can have it done pretty soon, methinks.
