Apple go apeshit
Re: Apple go apeshit
Mice will be obsolete in 5 years anyways...
Re: Apple go apeshit
idea is nice but the lack of feedback will drive me crazy
Re: Apple go apeshit

Re: Apple go apeshit
OMFG multitouch mouse
But only two finger gestures? da fuck?
I wish Apple would write multitouch drivers for Windows (and maybe even Linux). I'd buy that mouse for my desktop in a heartbeat if they did it with full four finger support.
PS: Fender did it wrong http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/20/appl ... our-month/

Re: Apple go apeshit
FINGERS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY

Re: Apple go apeshit
eh, multitouch. I didn't read it very much.
Still looks more like a design student's wet dream than a nice ergonomic functional mouse.
no thumb buttons still :/

Re: Apple go apeshit
There was a thumb button on the MFKAM. Not to say that it wasn't arse, of course. Note also that apple does gaming mice like it does gaming. Otoh I will probably pick one of these up for the gesture support.
I expect that there will be multitouch drivers for windows as part of boot camp, there was at least partial support for the MFKAM's unibollock

Yes, I I'd love to use an inferior OS to make my life harder. Moron.
Re: Apple go apeshit
lol, "inferior OS". It's all about personal taste. In this case yours is shit.
Re: Apple go apeshit
Criticizing any item of tech for being too easy to use implies poor emotional development. Oh, hi Mazda.
On the other hand, Vista quit inexplicably so many times that I had to roll my girlfriend's pc back to XP. Yeah, mac os is too easy

I love quake!
Re: Apple go apeshit
Anyone who thinks OSX is strictly for noobs and morons obviously hasn't used the bash shell or had to build their applications by hand from source (including any missing dependencies). The back-end of OSX is much more accessible than that of Windows too.
Re: Apple go apeshit
I can understand why the mouse won't do 4 finger swipes, you'd look ridiculous stroking your mouse like that!
From an usability standpoint, it's unlikely that you'll be able to hold your mouse and be able to swipe it with more than 2 fingers.
New 27" iMac looks hawt. Me wants.

Re: Apple go apeshit
That makes sense. I was thinking of it more like a touchpad that you could just sit on your desk.
