Good 19" CRT's

Post by 4g3nt_Smith »

I'm wanting to buy a 19" monitor for use on my iBook, one with 1600x1200 support, as OS X looks better the higher one's resolution is. My price is $200 w/ shipping, max.

Both

and

http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product. ... 6824001178

look quite good to me, but I know next to nothing of monitors, and wanted a little help deciding what I should get. Are there any massive problems with those I should know of?

The Samsung is pretty good and I'd recommend it.

Edit: Take a look at those specs again. The Samsung has .04 lower dot pitch and supports higher resolution ;)

Thats what I had planned on, just testing the CRT waters, checking to see if anyone had a gem of a monitor for those of us on a budget.

ooh, 1920x1440 :D Tiger+19" of space=GUI-goodness.

Thats what i roll.. it fucking owns..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

I have the same, but I don't know if you can get it for less than $250.

Heh, I've got the PS790. Don't know the difference between PF & PS.

It's held up great. Still as good as the day I first plugged it in....6 years ago.

I want that damn Dell 2005FPW though. :(
