Hi guys, want a little info on meta tags if you will.
I googled it and came up with lots of stuff, but I'm unsure what is right and what is nonsense.
One site lists all the IPs of the search engines. Another tells that you need to be on Yahoo for the others to see you.
On the description section, do you capitalize the important words?
And do I need to submit my site to the biggies, like google, yahoo, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Meta Tags
Don't worry about meta tags. They're practically useless.
The popularity of your site will determine your position in search results. If you want to add meta, just add the content ones and list as little entries as possible. The more you list, the less important each one becomes.
Capilatisation doesn't matter. The yahoo thing is bullshit.
Just make a good website with lots of useful content, and visitors will follow in time.
