That's just stupid. And no, this is not a "look at me not being a nerd" attempt (because I fucking well know I am one).

Why?

From my point of view, most people will not know what it is and it's not a bad looking image. The people that instantly recognize know what it is, will think it's pretty cool.

Well, I'm not a big fan of tattoos to begin with. I think they are devalued into a fashion statement rather than something that's close by heart. It's fashionable to have a tattoo, and a tattoo of a game logo is the epitomy of that.

When this girl had the tattoo done, she might've been deep into Quake 3, but in 20 years she'll be sorry she had it done, I can guarantee you that. It's not even pretty. It lacks all form of subtlety.

Tattoos are fashion statements, ways to remember things you like, drunken boredom killers, etc.

If a guy goes to war for 2 years and gets a tattoo to remember that it's okay?

How many years did we spend playing Q3 or in this forum?

Are you comparing going to war with playing Quake 3?

I'm comparing a life experience to a life experience, nothing more

Don't like tats or piercings on mah wimminz.
Personal taste, maybe, but I have yet to see a woman whose allure increased by having bodily paraphernalia.

Case in point: Ok, that Megan Fox is a fit bird.
Why does she have to spoil things by tagging her fine chops with bullshit "meaningful" quotations?

It's significant to her, so I guess that's all that matters.

You can't "guarantee" anything of the sort. In 20 years she could very well look back on it and remember a good time of her younger life and a hobby she shared with friends. There are definitely folks who get tattooed because its trendy but there are also many who enjoy it as an artistic medium and a way of marking life experiences. The latter are the same type of folks who have been getting tattooed for the past five thousand years, making it a practice that predates the domestication of the horse by a millennium.

^, lol come on...I doubt she got a q3 tattoo to express life experiences in an artistic medium. Now we're just arguing about tattoos in general.
And to the other side, most people don't regret getting tattoos unless they're somewhere very visible or very controversial . After a few years you become kind of numb to it and it's like a freckle or any other mark on your body. I have a tattoo on my forearm that's pretty visible that I got young (in high school) and I wouldn't get the same one now, but I don't regret it. It's just there.
yeah q3 is kinda dumb, but she probably doesn't wake up and regret a tattoo that's not hugely visible on the small of her back every single day. who cares. lol but it's also not a meaningful expression of one's life experiences that she got in a ritual we've been doing before the domestication of horses. not everything is black and white etc.

She got a tattoo of the symbol for the greatest FPS game ever made... ever. Plus, the symbol itself isn't that bad looking.

It's better than the generic japanese character tattoos and tribal tattoos everybody else gets.

I think the tattoo she got is cool. I've seen some pretty stupid ones and this doesn't even come close. It's not something I'd personally get put on my body but it's still interesting. Definitely not something that I think the type of person who'd get the tattoo would regret in 20 years.
