Hells yeah. I have a close relative who's bipolar. Absolutely fine for maybe 4-5 years at a time, then something happens and fuuuuuuuuck they're off in la-la land for 2-10 months at a time.

Worst part is when it comes down to an intervention. Because it's like a gradual slip into crazy land that happens across a couple of weeks, and they don't realise there's any kind of a problem until the entire family and a couple of paramedics are in their living room, and you can kinda see a flicker of recognition in them that they're having an episode.

tl;dr bipolar is some scary shit.

You are overly happy, sad, angry... etc. The farthest you get from reality is thinking it's a good idea to harm someone. Bipolars - generally - don't believe they are from other planets. Study was too small and I doubt had participants that suffered solely from bipolar. Thing about bipolar is that it leads to other mental disorders. That is why a lot of bipolars are diagnosed schitzo. Bipolar can go hand in hand with multiple other disorders. I have been diagnosed as severe bipolar, and have studied many cases of bipolar - face to face - and witnessed various multi- disorders. I was not impressed by the half-assed "survey" done on your Cambridge site. I am more willing to assert data derived in practical application. Thanks for the link though.
