I actually don't think that people getting hurt like that is funny, at least not the incidents where people were actually injured. People falling down - riotously funny. People falling down and snapping bones - not funny.
But, perhaps those unfortunate folks will have a bit more of an appreciation for what the Navy, Marines, and especially those mad, courageous bastards in the Coast Guard have to deal with on a regular basis.
