the javaw.exe is loaded as part of Azereus. Shut down Azereus and javaw.exe will shut down too.

And yes, it's bulky. When you hear of Azereus being a resource hog, this is to what they are referring.

Yes java/azureus kills my laptop sometimes, but only when winamp is going and sometimes wmp

Well if you have a gig of ram it's hardly a resource hog. I can still multitask perfectly without a hitch of slowdown. Azureus has a ton of features the other clients do not which is the reason I keep using it.
