In my previous topic I mentioned that I am a novice, so I do not want distractions .So I've a question ,very simple question and I'll be very pleased if I get an answer on time, without insults.I mean without fucks and any other bullshits .So my question is ,how can I open the maps which I downloaded ?I downloaded much maps ,but I couldn't open them!

place the downloaded .pk3 files in the folder called "baseq3", located in the same place your quake3.exe is.
then, ingame choose "skirmish" and find the map you want to play.

The map may be broken and it may not be displayed in the skirmish menu. You can also try :
Open the map you downloaded and placed in your quake3/baseq3/ folder. The extension of the map file is .pk3 You can open this file with any zip utilities (winrar, filzzip, winzip, etc.) since it's just a zip file renamed to some_map.pk3 This pk3 file contains everything needed for a Quake 3 map, it's composed of many files, not just one. Inside the zip file there should be a folder called /map/ and inside the folder you are looking for the real map name. The map is a file ending with the .bsp extension like map_name.bsp - Write down this file name and close the pk3 file now.
Start Quake 3, when the game is loaded on the main menu, hit the `/~ key (tilde - the one on the left side of the number 1 on your keyboard) to bring out the Quake 3 console. In the console type the following command to load the downloaded map : /map map_name (the name of the bsp file you wrote down earlier do not add the .bsp at the end).
