there's nothing wrong with shooting the messenger because it's only geoff - but everything about this rift thing sounds pretty good so far.

here's a video of an old lady trying it that's been doing the rounds on facebook today:

Such as?

You people do realize you're giving up half of your screen rez for this, dontcha?

This reminds me of the time a few years ago when a large percentage of you fagg0ts were jizzing in your pants over the video screen on the iPod...I simply could not believe you idiots were getting excited about watching anything on a one-inch screen....but you did.

Is this simply more Carmack fanboyism from rabid id fans on this forum and others? Sure looks like it. If not, then it's simply tech fanboyism.

I mean...in an age of 3D films that nobody likes watching (and everyone generally agrees that the current implementation of the tech sucks balls) and sales of 3D television sets have completely stopped...why are people getting excited about a "personal" 3D/IR Tracker system when it's based on tech they've already admitted they don't like? What the fuck have you people been paying attention to? What have I missed?

Just flip to the 0:18 second mark...then watch until the 1:08 mark...

....then flip to the 4:23 mark and watch till the end.

It'll be for the nerds who want that shit. I'd totally give it a go

Mirrors Edge would totally be the right game for it though
