I didn't inspect the tyres in the video, but why would they be on slicks? The bike and the Atom are road vehicles, so they would be on road tyres, suitable for the wet, and the rallycross is for driving on mud & gravel aswell as tarmac, so that would be on tyres suitable for the wet aswell

I think that's what it always has (by default), the point was to compare the default configuration of the cars I think, and if they are road legal they are suitable for wet roads.

"Road legal" means that it can be legally driven on public roads. It does not mean that it is suitable for normal public roads, especially in all conditions.

It's a custom built car. There is no "default" configuration. You tell them what you want and pay them a bunch of money, they put it together and send it to you. The model shown in the video is one of the higher priced options configured for track.

You can see in the Atom's PoV camera that it almost lost control in the rain. The nose of the car started bouncing around like a compass needle and swerved to the left. No wonder it finished last, it spent more time going sideways than forwards.

Saw that Autocar vid a while back. It’s no brainer that the bike is gonna win pretty much any drag race (wet or dry), especially when that bike is the fastest road legal bike currently available. The DS3 ran with a restrictor though, so judging by how close it was to the HP4, it probably stood a chance if it did not have the restrictor.
