Hi everyone!

Im currently working on a map project based on world of warcraft in a couple of years (on and off).
Im interest your opinion. (good and bad too)

I'll make 2 more tourney and I want a medium sized dm or ctf map.

Im try to do my best when make it, but I try dont give it up.
Work whit wow stuff sometimes very hard in the quake's word... (primarily the models...)

Is that for Quake 3? I see some unknown item models around the map and can't assign them into items that represent...

Correct me if I'm wrong. Are you using different models pack or just turned simpleitems on?
And please, when uploading images to this sites and it's width is high beyond the 800 px, it's highly recommended to reduce it's size by using tag lvlshot. Not everyone has Full HD widescreen monitor...

Where are you getting the textures and models from?

If you're making them from scratch, good job. But as a warning, if you're extracting them from WoW and somehow importing them into Q3, you're violating copyright restrictions and it is illegal.

Yes Im using re-edited(by myself) wow textures and models. And yes, its for quake3...
First of all, I dont want to steal anithing (that is not my goal.)

I don't mind the screenshots of your map, they can stay. But as cityy mentioned in the other thread that I split off from this one, you just won't be able to distribute the map publicly. Things got sidetracked so I split it off as a separate discussion.

As far as critiques go, your map certainly looks good for the most part, the overall style and geometry look great. As suggestions for your next map, I would take some more focus on gameplay rather than just how the map looks:

• Try to observe the layout and gameplay of some successful Q3 maps and see what makes them good and interesting arenas to play in. You have a lot of symmetry, repetition and long straight distances of travel (like those really long stairs). These kind of things don't make the best gameplay scenarios.
• Avoid the big box room mentality. A lot of beginners make large box rooms and then fill them with details and other stuff. Again, this isn't very good for gameplay. Try experimenting with a more labyrinth like approach and don't forget about vertical movement and combat.

If starting another map, I would recommend coming up with a really basic layout first (leaving all the detailed stuff out) and get some feedback on that first. Once you have a few iterations with gameplay feedback, then you can worry about detailing the map. Good start though, keep it up.

If I'll replace the models and textures for FREE models and textures (like cgtextures and artist-3d), it would be make my maps correct?(Shall indicate the sources of course.) I hope so
Im not an expert texture or model maker
