Xbox one thread

Post by Doombrain »

Mine comes Friday. Will pick up BF4 and grab a copy of destiny if it's any good.

Any bros don't have time to play PC all day but want to enjoy a game with decent GFX and sound for a fraction of the price of a PC?

Destiny may or may not be cool
Killer Instinct is getting lukewarm reviews. F2P doesn't seem to sit well.
DR3 is apparently just DR2 but with better graphics. but no gameplay fixes or innovations.

still not sure which of the two (consoles) I'll get. or perhaps both.

My ps3 is a glorified br player. Don't see a need to buy the 4 when Xbox now supports br, even more so now sony are ramming their streaming service down your throat.

Only if you're the kind of person that still thinks saying M$ is still funny.

Maybe Goof does, since he can't afford a nice PC to play games with crystal clear graphics, superb surround sound and the best possible control layout.

When you grow up you'll realise that PC gaming just isn't practical.

Don't go all jehad on me, just sayin.

How about we keep this thread about the XB1 and not about which platform is better or worse like 13 year olds.

That would be super

Edit: any info on supported movie file formats? The one thing the ps3 had over Xbox was support for streaming until that stupid anti pirate software came along.

Why not derail this topic like every other topic gets derailed.

Fuck you with your XBone. :olo:

I actually canceled my order a couple weeks ago. Couldn't really find a launch title I was excited about. Been playing Bf4 on PC and I still have GTA to finish on 360. So I guess I will wait till Destiny or if something good comes out sooner.

Xb1 uses the PlayTo thing MS launched a while ago. So I guess the streaming options are the same ie no mkv but yes to mp4.

I was really interested to try out the new media features, twitch streaming and kinect. But I figured it would collect dust after that for a few months. I will wait and just go check out my brothers when it arrives this week.

Yep, I forgot I'd preordered and got a mail telling me the balance had been taken and would be with me soon. I would have done the same if I had been on the ball.

Mine is coming Friday. It was supposed to come with Watch Dogs but GKY fucked that up. For some mental reason I chose to replace it with Assasin's Creed.

kotaku's review
http://kotaku.com/the-xbox-one-the-kota ... 1467960010

One feature of the XB1 that I totally forgot about might actually make me get it over (or before) the ps4; HDMI in.
Kotaku showed how they piped a 360 through the XB1, without having to give up a precious hdmi port and/or precious optical port on the receiver.
Better yet, you can snap the piped media to the right side of the screen allowing you and a friend to play two different games on two different consoles on the same screen. That includes PS4 games.
One step beyond is having two XB1s, chaining them and use it's built-in PiP to essentially enable splitscreen couch MP for games that have online-only MP.

only 3 people in the world would probably use that last setup but still cool regardless.

the rest of the championed features seem to be in Beta though.. what genius thought of this tidbit?
Once you tell it the brand of your TV and audio receiver, it can double as a universal remote control. When you say "Xbox On," the console will power up and switch on the other two devices at the same time.
Ah, but what if you're already playing a game on a different console, and your TV and AV receiver are already switched on? If you then say "Xbox On," the console will turn the TV off.
