So, anyone played this? It's a game by Telltale Games (cue loud GKY groan) based on the comic 'Fables'. It's basically what you get if you take The Walking Dead and replace all the content and story by stuff from Fables. It plays more like an interactive detective noir novel than a survival horror ish type of thing like The Walking Dead.

The game is about all kinds of characters from classic fables and mythology (ranging from Snow White to Beowulf characters or Alice in wonderland characters) that escaped their fable world and ended up living in New York. The non human characters can make themselves appear as human to other humans through magic, but the potions are pricey. It's all pretty gritty and mature.

I definitely liked the first episode, and if you enjoy the sort of gameplay TWD offered, then this could be for you.

It's awesome. Got the first ep for free and bought the entire season on completion. I like the whole vibe and art style.

lol I did the same and regretted it as well. I had planned on playing it like a dick that nobody likes. because it felt like it fit the character and the film noir atmosphere, but I'm just not enough of an ass to pull through with it. I sweet talked Snow and eventually felt sorry for the Woodsman as well.

I got it too, based on the glowing reviews in this here thread. Quite liked it, really cool art style and voiceacting, bit like playing an interactive cartoon. Was a tad on the short side for the price though... but i'm looking forward to the next parts in any case

the first ep was free. normally it's $5 per ep unless you buy them all beforehand it's 20 total.

Dunno, I think it was a temporary special offer for xbox live gold members.
But just episode 1 is 4 dollar or so. It's just a shame you can't buy the season pass at a discount if you've already got an episode.
