They pretty much get worse each time, so...

Battlefield 2 > Battlefield: Bad Company 2 > Battlefield 3 > Battlefield 4

Not that I've played BF2 in years.

BF2 infantry only mode was great. The balance with vehicles never seems to be right in these games.
