How much time are you spending at games?

Post by Guest »

Good evening my friends.

I never have been a social gamer because I didn’t like the competition.
I recall playing chest or just plain pool or cards and even in between friends, if I won
they were in a kind of bad mood for months sometimes, toward me.

Now with all the gaming going on, on the Internet, you spend hours in front of your PC
and games can last several hours with people you don’t even know.

Is it the same? And still, how much time you are playing those?

May be add how old you are?

I get off work around 9pm each night, get home talk to the g/f and usually I'm on the pc for 3 - 4 hours.

Most played game is still Quake III, then good 'ol Doom 3. Pop Halo in when I'm tired of darkness and may try and make a playable map for quake... 18 btw.

That was another thing that I was wondering.

Does it afflict your family life?

Since I don't have a job atm (yeah, I'm a lazy bum) I play anything from 4 to 8 hours a day depending on how many matches I find (try to avoid public as it's a skill-killer). Only HL2DM atm though. It's damned buggy :( and Valve doesn't care it seems, but it's fun as hell :D and I'm waiting for AG2.

usually i play some warcraft 3 mod called 'footmen frenzy' with a friend via battlenet/skype. the mod is 3v3v3v3... you've got constantly spawning units at your base and you can buy heroes and unit upgrades. it's way better than wc3 because there's a load more tactical choices and it's faster yet easier to controll.

Probably an hour or so a week these days. I spend most of my time drawing the art and then checking it out in-game rather than playing them :(
