Have they finally gotten around to showing what you can actually do in the game?

The game looks great, and I still want to play it, but I can't help but think this is going to be the biggest let-down in recent memory..,

Yeah basically trying to recreate nature, well enough to produce interesting locations / situations (compared to custom made stuff from other offerings out there) is probably beyond the scope they were able to program for

AI in a console game is a laughable concept. Those shitbox processors aren't capable of making ambitious plans come to life.

Just that right there makes me not as excited for this game. He pretty much says multiplayer won't be what everyone wants it to be. One of the main appeals of the game is to be able to find an amazing world and then say to your buddy "Hey come check out what I found!" Looks like that won't be the case...

I'm afraid of the same thing, especially after The Division.

pure exploration and nothing else would get boring very quickly, especially with no multiplayer to speak of

not sure what the point of this is, other than a proof of concept for vast procedural world generation

The emphasis on procedural assets reminds me of spore. It's nice eye candy for a few hours but not much to keep you going. [what seremtan said using different words]

explore the universe... all by yourself :(

Peak hype occurred some time ago. Now, the more I learn about the game, the less enthused I seem to become. :(

It's been 3 years. I can wait a couple more months. Probably not gonna live up to hype anyways...

I'll wait even longer. Once the reviews come out, I'll think about it. Fuck preordering.

Oh yeah, there's no way I'd pre-order. Especially for a "groundbreaking" game like this...

It looks ok... Elite Dangerous also seemed great until you realize how repetitive it gets. I still fire it up now and then though.
