Old Comics and Cards

Post by Κracus »

So last night I decided to pull out some old comics and cards I collected as a kid and go through them. Pretty wild seeing all these things from my childhood and a friend was at my place so he casually looked up a few as we were going through them.

Found that one lying amongst them worth between 500$ - 1000$

A massive amount of marvel overpower cards.

Apparently I have a set of 4 duplicates each worth 400$ a piece among others, I must have hundreds of these cards.

This card... I can't believe this one.

I have several Sergei Federov cards, that one might be worth around 6k.

Anyone else have a card/comic book collection? I priced a fraction of the items I went through last night, like maybe 1/10th and was nearing 10k in value. Absolutely ridiculous the price of cards from the early 90's and late 80's.

I used to collect the Star Trek CCG cards from Decipher. In terms of value there's nothing really noteworthy in there.

Oh I actually had some star trek stuff too! I have these little fold out cards that came in a bag of chips. They came in this plastic wrapper and you would take them out and fold them and they had a bunch of stuff on them. I actually left them IN the wrapper... I have bunch of em, no idea their value.

These things here. Apparently a full set is about 100$

I have about 20ish of them so not a full set.

The Star Trek CCG is more like Magic The Gathering whrer you buy starter kits of 60 cards or booster packs of 15 randomly selected cards. Of course the cards can be used to play a table top card game.

Ah, yeah that's like the overpower cards except with Marvel characters. They're actually worth way more than I assumed they would be.

My NHL cards are at 6,227 so far, ranging from 1976 to 2021. I have 14 full binders with current and defunct NHL teams alphabetically arranged and players arranged alphabetically and sorted by their print years within each team. I also went through and catalogued everything into spreadsheets so that I could get them appraised easier. I also designed and printed authentic logo cards for each team. You could call me a collector I guess :clownboat:

I am not that... I had a bunch of cards, unsorted in a box. They are sorted now though, sorta...

Thought that was your own pic at first, then I realized you just ripped it off ebay.

Since only one copy of that particular card exists, I'll go ahead and call bullshit on you. You just have the worthless base version:

Oh is that the case? I wasn't aware as I only found that the next day while I was looking up pics, like I said "might" be worth 6k I wasn't sure and wanted to check on it when I got home. I know I have the card, didn't realize this one was a one off. Mistakes happen, but hey, you strike me as someone who lives to tell others they're wrong so enjoy that one.

lmao for a friendless asshole you sure love to play the $6K victim card. Let's not revisit your desperate need for validation through your pathological lies again, enough volumes have been written about it on Q3W.

I never collected cards or comics. I have a few old Spawn comics from 25+ years ago that might be worth $10 or something, if only because they are in immaculate shape.

I also have a small collection of MegaMan X pogs (milk caps) that I got from Nintendo Power back in I dunno what... 1994? Or something. They are sealed in a Nintendo Power case and they haven't moved from that place since I got them. I wouldn't be surprised if they are worth at least $20.

Like this, except mine are punched out and inside a case:

My dad has some old Victor and Valiant comics from the 60s up in their loft. Not in great condition though, they were just stored in a couple of boxes and well-read!

I sold a 'collectable' matchbox type online the other day. I thought rare as it was still in original blister packaging. It was in the cupboard for years. Got $20 for it. Fair I suppose.

lol I have a couple of the exact same Volvo 760s in my collection. If yours was mint in original packaging, you could've sold it for at least 3 times that.

Here's a Spanish listing? (Barcelona) for 20 Euro ($30 AUD) but who know how long it has been listed. Mine's gone ~ I am happy.

Just saw what I think is the post date - 07-feb-2019
