Ok, ok, what the fuck is going on here.

Here's my issue. In the following programs:

CuteFTP
Visual Studio 6.0 (VB, C++)

Whenever i run these programs, one of those installshield "please wait while setup installs" comes up, and it is for AutoCAD 2005. What the fuck causes this problem?

Do you happen to have multiple installers in the same directory? InstallShield has been known to bork on that.

In what directory? Oh and whenever I make a new project/open project in C++, it comes up with the windows installer for autocad 2005.

Edit: It even comes up when I doubleclick a form in vb too, this is fucking bullshit lol

There was an msiexec.exe running and when I closed it it doesen't do it anymore, but the msiexec is in the system32 dir, does windows need this file? Or is there any way of preventing it to run again? This is the windows installer file or something so I don't think I should deleste it.

Edit: Even if I kill its process, it comes back and starts running again, why does it do this?

Uninstall the application in question altogether and then reinstall it.

I uninstalled and re-installed Autocad, and it doesent come up anymore, thanks dude :icon14:

Any thoughts on how this is caused though so it can be prevented in the future?
