Can't access Device Manager

When I tried to access Device Manager I got the error:

Snap-in failed to initialize,
Name:Device Manager
CLSID:{74246BFC-4C96-11D0-ABEF-0020AF6B0B7A}

So I Googled it and found one result...it said to get this one reg fix...so I got it and now Device Manager gives me an "Action Cancelled" page.

Check your event logs (Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Logs) and post any relevant errors you see there.

This looks like it has something to do with it.

Faulting application mmc.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module devmgr.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00012a1f.
