In my outlook express, if I'm on a newsgroup such as 'drumming' and it says for example, 5000 new messages not downloaded, I can only download 1000 at a time. In Tools/Options/Read/News, there's a tab which says:
'Get (> insert number here <) headers at a time'.
If I type a number higher than 1000 in the box, a new box then comes up and says: ' Please enter a number between 50 and 1000 for downloading headers '.
Is there a way around this so that I can download all the newsgroup messages for that newsgroup in one go or at least, a higher amount? Thanks.

Edit outlook.exe and make the limit different...DRuM wrote:In my outlook express, if I'm on a newsgroup such as 'drumming' and it says for example, 5000 new messages not downloaded, I can only download 1000 at a time. In Tools/Options/Read/News, there's a tab which says:

Hmm, I'll give it a whirl. If it's no good though juggly, I'll not be sending you any more of that tellytubbies candy you like. Oops, didn't mean to let that secret out.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:i would think that Thunderbird would be better for you Drummeh
