Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) to run with John McCain?

Post by SplishSplash »

He said so on the Daily Show.

He seemed like a really cool guy and said he might either run with or against John McCain.

Of course, against would probably be better, as both of them seem to be pretty cool.

Edit:
The interview is on comedy central's website btw.

I saw this too, and he seemed like a decent guy. For all of 5 minutes, so I don't know what that really means...

But as long as we don't have another republican next time, I'll be ecstatic.

Errm, did I say John McCain is pretty cool?

I take that back, after reading up on him I've come to the conclusion he's a cocksucker.

He's one of the bush cronies, dispite the whole honest soldier image.

Biden said that he 'would' run with or against John McCain because he respects him. That doesn't mean there's much chance of them actually running together.

I don't like Biden anyway, he's an opportunistic gloryseeker like most of the rest of the congressmen right now. There are very few I honestly have any confidence in.

Yeah I saw it, and there's no chance in hell of it actually happening.

Same here. He's a lying pile of dogshit, and a true politician. He uses his Vietnam service to get him ahead in politics while at the same time the Republican party bashes John Kerry for going to Vietnam.

John Kerry talked about the issues and his service never became a hot topic in the campaign until that cocksucker Karl Rove hired the dipshits that Nixon hired to smear Kerry's name to try to do the same thing again.

Then Kerry basically had to talk about it all the time to remind everyone that, "Yeah, I was brave enough to go over into a shithole and kill people for you. This Bush fellow, however, used his Daddy's power to get out of any civil duty whatsoever. He has no solid proof that he ever served. Conveniently, all the documents were burned."

John McCain on the other hand... "Oh man, I was in a fucking POW camp. I was shot down and my plane crashed into a lake. Boo hoo, I was bombing this fucking town and my bones were all broken up. I was floating in the lake and locals came out and tried to kill me. It was awful, but I loves me some Americas." 24/7.

Bush: "John McCain fathered a black baby. You hear that, he slept with a BLACK GIRL. Middle America, did you hear me?"

Four years later...

John McCain: "I love this President. He's the best thing since... Since me! We're chums."

I think an interesting team would be Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They'd have the black and womens vote in a heart beat. Too bad it's all fake.

Then when Hillary gets assassinated, we'd have the first black President. He'd run in 2012 and win with a sympathy/race vote.

Biden enjoys the (imo false) image of being "Mr No BS" who gives the reps a hard time - but he even more enjoys hearing himself talk.

Remember the hearing on Rice as the possible new Sec. of State? He "tore her a new one" in typical Biden fashion, once again presenting his strong beliefs and opinions. And in the end: "well, but we all know that you're gonna be voted in anyways, so... welcome onboard! You got my 'yes' vote."

What kind of opposition is that? Biden knows his place... Don't put too much hope in that one. When it comes to the next presidential elections, rep. strategists will have a field day with this guy.
