Any really. http://www.transgaming.com/ will be all you need.

Fedora seems a very good distro, I tried it recently on my laptopa nd it was fast. It also uses the new X.org window system; rather than the old Xfree86 one.

Debian is a bit more hardcore, the installer is pretty shit (Fedora has a GUI like windows installer) as it's console based, but the distro is still very good. http://www.debian.org/

Well, which games are you hoping to play? There are very few native Linux ports out there. Another good question is what video card are you using? Really if you are running an ATI you should stick with Windows...

If you are just looking to test it out try Knoppix.
