For the love of all that is holy! WTF is going on!?

Post by -SKID- »

This stems from my "motherboard dead" thread. I took out my PSU from another computer, hooked it up to the new motherboard, and it started up. That is until I got to the checking IDE drives in the Boot screen. It wont detect any drives, no matter what drive, cable, jumper, anything is set to. It just hangs on detecting IDE drives. This is a brand new motherboard. So since I decided the old motherboard isnt dead it was just the PSU. I reinstalled that one, and hooked everything up. NOW, FFS this one boots up, but just after it reads the memory. It shuts itsself off. Tried different slots, different memory, draining the cmos battery, nothing. Just shuts off right after reading the memory. So some one PLEASE, tell me wtf is wrong with BOTH these motherboards. I know the drives are good, I checked them in my other computer first. Ive tried everything I can think off. Im at my witts end. :tear: Im about to throw the damn thing in the trash, and tell my boss its a POS, and shouldnt be allowed to live anymore. He would go for that, but I just want to get this damn thing running again.
