Ctl, Alt, Dlt

Tormentiius, as long as youre on line here, how do I make my computer start with Crt, Alt, Dlt.

I have looked in user accounts and cant find anything. I know its there someplace.

XP Pro, SP2

Well I don't know how to do that, but if you look in your BIOS there should, if it isnt a premade computer, about how to startup with keyboard. Ykou can set it to a key, usually any key or just a specific key. Most likely under the power management segment of your BIOS

Im quite sure it is a windows thing, not a bios thing

CTRL+ALT+Delete only applies with XP if you're part of a domain. AFAIK

Well on most mobos used for BYO computers you can use the BIOS to start your computer also. If it is a Winodws thing then wouldn't Windows have to be running to initiate it?

No I dont think so. I have another computer and you have to presss ctl alt del to access it.

I was partially wrong. Joining a domain adds the registry key DisableCAD and sets it with a value of 0.

Somewhat. CTRL+ALT+DELETE can't be imitated across the wire iirc.

That wasn't what he was talking about at all. He was referring to the logon process for NT-based operating systems.

Well from what I read I thought he meant start as in power up and boot.
