Works to Excel

Post by Kills On Site »

My dad has some of his recipes, Brunswick Stew and whatnot, in Microsoft Works 8, at work, database and he wants them on a format that Office XP, what we have at home, can read. He also wants the template for the recipes. Any clue how this can be done?

I'm pretty sure all he has to do in Works Spreadsheet is Save As, and then select the *.xls format. Then just open it normally in Excel.

Dont know if its applicable here but just incase you will have trouble opening older office file formats in xp and above. IE for 97.

As Obsidian has said, just select the desired file format from works. It might have two kinds of .xls fomats, one for 97 and another for 2000+
