..::pukkadesign maps

Post by sumatra »

As I got a new host for all my finished maps, I have made a small temporary site for downloading purposes.
Just wanted to let you all know and probably wake up some interest.
Maybe some of you already know my maps, but someone or other hasn't heard anything of me before :)

Here you go

I'm interested in your impressions and maybe also suggestions for further projects. :icon31:

cheers

You might get a lot more attention with a few screenshots. I just added those from your temp site and placed them here:

If you'd rather not have the images shown in this thread (i.e. to save bandwidth) I will remove them again.

Downloading all your maps :)

Thanks, that was just what I would (or better should) have done! :icon28:

:)

The second to last shot, already uses the skybox I had initially used in aeglow. But it really looks great in your map. Luckily Hipshot released new skyboxes.

I'm fully honest when I say that sky fits his map better, Æ ;)

@ sumatra, I think I need to download some of these and check them out, I like maps that utilizes another color-palette than the standard Q3 theme...
Q3Map2 2516 -> http://www.zfight.com/misc/files/q3/q3map_2.5.16_win32_x86.zip
Q3Map2 FS_20g -> http://www.zfight.com/misc/files/q3/q3map2_fs_20g.rar
GtkRadiant 140 -> http://www.zfight.com/misc/files/q3/GtkRadiantSetup-1.4.0-Q3RTCWET.exe

Nice to see pukka3tourney2 has reached it's final stage :).

Great maps altogether :icon14:, although "Asian nights" really needs CPMA. I'd love to see a vQ3 version of this map ;).

Btw. there's (still) a missing texture (from mapmedia) in pukka3tourney1 (Tribute):

Code: Select all

trying textures/liquids/pool3d_5c.TGA...
WARNING: R_FindImageFile could not find 'textures/liquids/pool3d_5c.tga' in
shader 'textures/liquids/clear_ripple3'
Shader textures/liquids/clear_ripple3 has a stage with no image

pukka3tourney1 has 44 LoD cracks, i suppose that's not really a problem. Nice map though; i hadn't seen it yet and i will try to get some games on it soon. :)

All those maps are on a public server in europe (UK to be exactly).

Lazery Attack CPMA Server:
Tourney 81.27.73.100:27961

You can get the password from the operators on quakenet #cpmpickup
(note: you need to have installed the latest cpma build 1.32)

You can also shout me on irc #promode, I'm usually up for a game or two ;)

Have fun!

It's probably the most played and simultaneously most cpmflavoured map for sure. Glad you like it.
A few people urged me to do a remix of this one, maybe with vanilla in mind!
I'll think about it, but I'm a bit busy in the near future...
