Actually, people generally are in a better state of mind during times of crisis. During war times, crime rates drop and suicides decrease significantly. People come together and help each other, unlike times of peace. People have a sense of community that isn’t typically there unless we are under distress. During times of peace, people isolate themselves and often feel like they don’t have a purpose, creating depression. We evolved as tribes, constantly under some type of distress (from conflict with other tribes, trying to find food, etc.). Our overall state of (hive)mind is surprisingly improved during times like this.

If you want to read more on this topic, check out Sebastian Junger’s Tribe. It was a great read...

They're doing fine in Italy. Air pollution levels have dropped significantly, too, so there's that. :smirk:

All this corona madness will be over world wide by end of April. It will have peaked and be on the fast decline by then. Still a nasty bug but not as prevalent.

However big they are, I'm sure they'll be short-lived. :(

Who are our most vulnerable Q3W members? Remember, age and pre-existing conditions are factors.

Whiskey - Old
Lars - Really old
Geoff - pre-existing (AIDS)
Gramps - pre-existing (hookworms)

Business as usual here. There’s a really weird mood in the air though. People seen coughing are killed on sight.

Fucking weird this eh, weird enough to make me crawl back to Q3W again. Been through 9/11 with you guys, we'll get through this together too, or something :olo:

Me and the missus are both deemed critical to society (education and healthcare) so we brought the kid to daycare this morning - they were only open for people like us. Very weird atmosphere, our kid is the only one there, five teachers to take care of him. Now at work arranging what i can for our people in the field from a mostly empty office. The only other person that's here is one of the doctors, who's working in another room or we might infect each other.

Management got creative, we're starting a daycare in one of our offices for kids of healthcare professionals, to help lighten the load on the healthcare system somewhat. Pretty awesome. We're hastily getting shit and people together to accommodate as many kids as we can (and as is deemed safe).

Most film productions have, or are about to shut down. All the US bigwigs have flown back to America before the planes get grounded.

Serious business.

How does that affect you? More time to work on digital ideas and renders or are you paused?

They'll initiate some sort of hiatus, I was due to start on another job in April but that might get pushed now. On a personal level I'm not really fussed. Looking forward to the time off

Why are you flying to Thailand during a global pandemic?
