Those comments are all about the one before that Jules

Also you're wrong, it's still boring as hell. I don't even know why i'm still watching it anymore, they need to hire some better writers quick or this show is doomed.

aye - haven't seen it for a while and just caught up on the last few episodes.
might be biased/expecting too much as a fan of the comic book, but to me it seems like this show is boring and all the female characters are rubbish.

oh, i know - i've been keeping up with this thread. And I see everyone bashing the show because they want more zombies and action, and then something special happens last night that couldn't have happened without the "slow" part.

That's the thing will these slow paced shows. They can be incredibly boring for a few episodes, seemingly going nowhere and then you get a mid-season finale with a twist of that calibre and it makes it all worth it. Almost. Anyway, props to the producers and network for having the balls to do something like that

This show is officially great again. Shame we have to wait until February now for it to restart (and no doubt go through the same drip-feeding process again, heh)

Ok, forgetting for a minute that Zombia just so happened to have teleportalled into the barn without any of the morons at the farm noticing, despite them ketch-all polling them in and feeding them crippled chickens daily, and if they did why they failed to mention this to the group of people desperately searching for a little girl, what the fuck exactly was the problem with the walkers locked up in the barn anyway?

Because it represents a large danger to everyone and a waste of resources. The group knew what the zombies really were. That they had killed everyone and everything. That they were undead and would never stop killing. I'd be pissed off at that level of stupidity too.

Here's the funny thing. The old guy was perfectly willing to keep a bunch of zombies safe and fed inside his barn for an unknown period of time. But fuck those new people!

Guessing that has something to do with the almost completely out of place cloaked and hooded katana wielding, woods-warrior ninja character with 2 pet zombies? Wtf was that all about.
What was the building/compound we get a glimpse of btw? Some sort of prison complex?

What the fuck, how did i miss that? Is there an episode 13 or something? :paranoid:
I also missed how Shane became a zombie btw, is there some sort of explanation for that? Did he get bitten at a certain point?

It appears i should pay more attention to this show when i watch it.... I blame it's tendency to deliver very uninteresting scenes, my mind just disconnects at times.

I guess, they were trying to show that whatever it is that turns you, has already infected them (they never say why or how afaik) and simply dying in any way, will change you. At least that's what i got out of it.

Bang on both counts Memph. That character is one of the strongest in the comics, and her introduction shows that they're going to try and keep quite close to her depiction in the comics. And that building means that the best story arc in the comics is very likely to happen. She has an incredibly bad-assed part in said story, although I suspect they're going to have to tame it down a LOT for TV.

Yup, there is a 13th. It's then Rick says he was (apparently) told at the CDC by scientist guy that they already carry it, though far as I recall, we weren't shown this exchange. Then Shane dies and turns without any walker contact, confirming it for Rick, who then tells the group which, having not said anything before, now only serves to feed their distrust in him for killing Shane.

edit: which really bothered me tbh, especially his mentalistic Mrs, who knew full damn well Shane was nothing shy of batbollocks crazyshoes.

I'm personally disappointed they killed Dale so early and they also downplayed his relationship with Andrea and her sister in the TV series. It was less father/daughters in the comics and more old guy doing young women. Added an extra creepy element to it, kind of a sugar-daddy vibe.
I do wonder if they're going to recycle his comic book death and apply it to another character though, as it's one of the better main character deaths in the comics.

Sounds good. Had a brief fumble for some character info but decided it too risky. Did it with Game of Thrones once and got stupid wiki pages with shit like "Ned Stark is a lalaya, who does thisthisthat with herhim and them. After he is killed..." FFS

I'll try be patient :)
