Lower snap delay = the win!!!1

Post by MidnightQ4 »

I found that setting the snap delay lower (30) on my server has improved the movement feel, it seems like strafe jumping feels much more crisp and less muddy now, a lot more like quake3. also rocket jumps are easier to do and more like q3 as well with increased distance. I recommend you all try out the server and see for yourself:

oh ya heh. It is in Los Angeles, sorry euros :icon31:

I'm sure you can try it out on your servers over on that side of the planet and see for yourselves how much better it feels though.

Now, what's the difference in CPU and bandwidth usage ? That's important if we want server admins to use lower snap intervals all around the place.
