I don't like adjusting reload times, it fucks with peoples timing if they go from playing this back to vanilla. Granted, if you play Beefy for awhile, you start developing 'bad' habits like closing to close range and deliberately getting into bouncy rocket wars or diving off high ledges to get close...

Also cuts down on the ability to defend the flag carrier :P team damage is fine in tdm, control is the watchword there. It sucks ass in ctf.

Video quality keeps resetting

I'm not sure what's causing this (new driver issue maybe?) but on my 6800, the texture quality keeps resetting to medium. Is there an easy fix for this?

As an aside, does anyone know if the 'multiplayer' portion of the D3/Q4 engine can be launched on init, instead of whatever passes for the single player portion? It's a relatively minor thing compared to the other issues, but its annoying that the startup and init of multiplayer is so slow.

I don't agree that the grapple solves rail problems. If anything, it amplifies them - what weapon are you going to hit a grapple monkey? Rockets?
