X-fi is certainly very decent. I just picked up an x-fi xtrememusic which are fairly cheap as they don't have as much ram (don't think much uses it). Not just Q4, but can tell the difference a lot in other games like BF2. Tbh probably the best music card buy I've made (even if its partly for the wro...

Yeah sounds without openal is very difficult, not even sure if its actually true stereo or just mono coming out of 2 speakers. The switch to xfi was pretty much so impressive you could see how bad the sound was on default settings. No problem for the redirect bits, I think I redid it and people can ...

I think 2 days work for a full site with full functionality like approval systems (if thats going in) for files and uploading (maybe you are just meaning frontend or something), website, news, etc etc is a little ambitious. Less so if using available open scripts etc, but if coding from the bottom u...

Just wondering if it might be worth chatting to quake4maps.net chaps who had a sort of map repo set up http://files.quake4maps.net/upload/files.php?cat=1 and maybe combine forces or something. Has most of the work done already, just no idea about bandwidth etc.

Have just updated script at http://gib.fps.net/x.php?ip=213.200.95.48:27995 with amended instructions on the page so it confirms to Ids cvar structure. Would be nice if someone could test the different url and cvar with a diff server (as thats when see main bugs). Iluvmymac, as jester! says, I don't...

Np Kleeks, needed to make it case independant actually which I'd forgotten, so some weren't showing as download urls and just search ones. I think the thing is actually server admins will have to get a bit more savvy anyway once they fix autodownload. Afaik if it follows D3 style, there will be no i...

Hiya, eastiest way (imo) really is just to use qstat and parse the output into whatever format you want really if there's no actual Q4 specific script about. (feel free to shout if stuck as I can possibly cobble something together, but you'd need to be able to exec qstat from your website which stop...

Hiya, cheers Req, wasn't aware of this thread, had to register again! Can never remember what I sign in as :). Basically was fed up with all the stupid files missing and no server admins having redirect setup, but it is a pain so tried to do something to at least make it a little less painful, and h...
