no..the problem was with quake..not ASE.

sorry to sound so stupid but..where is autoexec.cfg?

i found that whenever i change my screen name to, it always goes back to my old one once i restart Q3

when i use the all seeing eye to join a game, it only has my old screen name.
So i switch the name (ingame), exit ASE, load it back up and im back to the old game?

i'm looking for some good/pro Q3 mappacks.

Well ive opened up the file (Q3KEY or whatever) disabled all my firewalls and it still doesnt work. Ive renewed my ip.
And is it normal to have hour long download times? (For ingame map downloading?)

well after i found Q3 at Staples and got bored of ut2004, I decided to install quake and play. but whenever i try to join a game it says "Mis-typed CD Key or Invalid CD Key" and can i play a map online if i dont have it downloaded? and can i download load something to let me? thanks, Lift<3
