Re: Arc Effect Shader?

hmmmm I assume your trying to be clever. I will give you your cleverness. However, I believe I was speaking the King's English and was very specific as to my request. No I'm not lazy, I was just wondering if something was already made. Obviously you don't know and could have kept it at that. I do ho...

Arc Effect Shader?

I've been trying to replicate sparks coming from a broken ceiling light fixture falling to the ground. http://www.stealthzone.net/spark.zip There are 8 textures there with alpha channels. I've tried to create an animap script but with no luck. I hear the animap scripts are bugged. I'm mapping for a ...

Re: SkyBox Problem

Very Nice!! Do you happen to know of the link explaining how to make the sky_mask? I need it to mimic a cludy stormy sky at night. Thanks bro. Really appreciate this!

SkyBox Problem

I've been working on my ship map for some time now. I'm having a hard time getting the right skybox for it though. My problem is the dumb mirror effect when I'm looking over the side of the ship. I'm using the sd_wurzburgsky. I'm using the alpha blend shaders to blend the water into the horizon. How...

Wakey wakey

Does anyone know now to create a wake shader? Like when your on the boat and you look towards the back and you see the V wake created by the boat in the ocean. I'm trying to create it with this texture.

Re: Alpha Shaders

Dont know why it is, I'm using your guys examples and the water isnt visible. I'm thinking thats one of the reasons why he did the different alphamods. Who knows..... EDIT: That is exactly why he did it. The alphamod makes the water blend too much. So this gradually blends the water into the skybox ...

Re: Alpha Shaders

Running 32bit. I think it has to do with the creation of the bump in PS, and some parameter in the shader to obtain the right results for the lighting I have. Its a night map.

Re: Alpha Shaders

Thank you very much guys. I'm working on bumpmapping now and its not cooperating with me. LOL. My findings and comments on this. After tweaking and several series of tests. I'm afraid I'm not happy with the results. I found that you must have little or no light. There must be a parameter I can add t...

Re: Alpha Shaders

Did you actually compile that? Any screens? Part of the problem is the sky shader.

Check this tutorial out.

Re: Alpha Shaders

My apologies and ignorance, but I don't see how that topic can help what I'm doing. And if it does, please don't assume that I have any knowledge on this. I'm just trying to learn. If someone can make an example map of how this is done, I would gladly pay them. Thanks. Edit: Dont forget were dealing...
