Matrix 1, 2 & 3 all in one sitting
Hadn't seen 2 and 3 before, so I thought I should finally catch up on them.
Errm... yes. The plot seemed kind of constructed/far fetched in both of them, but while the 2nd one was still pretty good, the 3rd one turned into a bore-fest with it's minute-long battles.
Seriously, watching robots shoot robot-squid is only entertaining for so long. And after sitting through lots of epic Kung-Fu battles between Neo and Smith in parts 1 & 2, I was really hoping for something more creative in part 3.
And what's with all those independent entities?
The Oracle, the gatekeeper, the keymaster, the architect, the janitor, the merovingian, the merovingians wife?
Which leads us to the best thing about parts 2 & 3: Monica Beluccis tits. O. M. G. what a gorgeous pair of knockers. She gave me the biggest boner.
And she seriously has trouble finding someone to kiss her with real passion so that only Neo can do it? wtf.
Part 1: 9/10
Part 2: 7/10
Part 3: 5/10

yes... 7/10; julianne moore is allways nice to see. the ending is somehow uncomforting. did you realize that in every 'real' scene, they're wearing black cloths and in every flashback scene bright cloths? now guess what they wear in the ending scene ...Grudge wrote:The Forgotten - 7/10
Kind of low budget small studio thriller with a "twist" that I didn't see coming. It struck a nice mood due to it's slow pacing and competent cinematography, and the sfx were very toned down and not overdone. The ending was pretty cheesy though.
Johnny Depp was awesome and gorgeous, as expected; the kids were mostly good, but the whole Willy Wonka 'world' didn't feel authentic, his childhood flashbacks became very tedious (and predictable) after the second or third time and didn't convey any kind of "darker side" of the character, the story lacked, the oompa loompas (+songs) sucked, the movie felt like it 'jolted' in places, as well as dragged on too much in others.
I tried to go in with very low expectations since i love the original so much, but I couldn't help but just dislike this movie as a whole.

hmmm you make a few good points there. I do think JD's performance was hilarious though.glossy wrote:Johnny Depp was awesome and gorgeous, as expected; the kids were mostly good, but the whole Willy Wonka 'world' didn't feel authentic, his childhood flashbacks became very tedious (and predictable) after the second or third time and didn't convey any kind of "darker side" of the character, the story lacked, the oompa loompas (+songs) sucked, the movie felt like it 'jolted' in places, as well as dragged on too much in others.
