At what temp should a A64 3500+ with a stock hsf and closed case run?
I think its a Venice core.

i would disagree with you psyche, this computer is for a regular user, ( maby playing the odd game ) so spending an extra $20-$30 to shave off ~2º isent worth it IMO..
Now putting Thermal Paste ( I.e. Artic Silver ) on the Stock HSF instead of the thermal pad, that i agree with
anyway, Psy is right with the temps, thats about right.

And how are they going to know if you don't use the stock HSF?
Amidy: I said even if you don't care about the cooling, the noise is much better with an upgraded HSF. There are some in that price range that are dead silent while performing better.
Sure, the average person may not appreciate it but a lot of people who know enough to build their own systems should.
