Your first q3w post ever!
Thanks werldhed, that's should explain why I was unable to find his first post I guess.werldhed wrote:That won't work for them, pete. Those search records only go back to when the new q3w came to life, which was early this year. The old pages from around 2000 don't exist.
Do you know who was the first poster in here though and since when this forum exist?

DarkViper and Cali Girl were the original Q3W webmasters and thus had the first posts... But If I'm not mistaken DarkViper modified an already exising message board he was running (with members) in to quake3world.pete wrote:Do you know who was the first poster in here though and since when this forum exist?

From this, I wanna say any reg dates you see between 15 Oct 1998(DarkViper's reg date) and 01 Nov 1999 (from what looks like it may have been a test account for quake3world). Are from this pre-existing forum.
Anything before 15 Oct 98 however is not valid and just an admin having fun.

Mine was in GD - after lurking for about 4 months - and it was in a thread about Jon Stewart interviewing the guy who wrote "The Top 100 People Screwing up America" or some such shit.... I think I just added my two-cents worth, but I remember telling Dave that I loved his Bob Ross avatar.... I miss that avatar....

The nice thing with those later regs is this.ScooterG wrote:Mine was in GD - after lurking for about 4 months - and it was in a thread about Jon Stewart interviewing the guy who wrote "The Top 100 People Screwing up America" or some such shit.... Yep. I'm sure mine turned to vapor a few years ago during a pruning.Survivor wrote:The nice thing with those later regs is this.ScooterG wrote:Mine was in GD - after lurking for about 4 months - and it was in a thread about Jon Stewart interviewing the guy who wrote "The Top 100 People Screwing up America" or some such shit.... My first post was in LD back in '99 and I stayed there exclusively until 9/11. I started reading some of the bullshit in that one GD thread about the attacks and just had to respond to several morons. After that I started posting in GD regularly.

I also started out in Level Design. I think I lurked for over a year before I started posting though.
