wallis wrote:hey odium, have you checked out the version of campgrounds that was made for doom 3, to see how that map was vised, it seems to run pretty smooth and cant be dissimilar to how you would do it for quake 4....just a thought

dont give up now man, it can be done
nice one. also, if you really think its too cuntish to vis, pass it over to someone with more vissing experience.
you prolly wont get full credit for the map but a lot more than if you just delete it all together, innit

If by offered you mean said "Hey, i could do it in a night but dont have the time", then thanks but no thanks. I'd rather tickle my own arsehole.

Some people are looking it over in LEM.

Thanks but I'd rather see O'dium finish the map even if it requires changing it a little from the original.

O'dium: Keep on it, even if you need to modify it from the original. The work you've done so far is great.

Comming along alot better with the new vis.. getting about 30fps everywhere.. 1280x1024 ultra detail, 2xaa.. not to shabby thus far.. a bit more optimized and id say its about done..

Tho, is it me, or is it suddenly way bright?
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Yeah it is very bright. The textures are a bit too dirty for my taste, with all the stains; it looks like you can see the result of all the fragging that has been done on dm6 since the release in 1997. :icon26: Overall it looks impressive but (as a picmip 0 player) i would like a slightly cleaner look.

There is some z-fighting in several places (on the side of the ledge that connects RL to RA/ammo pillars and on the spot where the two pipes go into the wall (those two circles overlap on one side)).

FPS aren't that bad on my 9800 Pro, and the layout itself feels quite like dm6. :)

Beta2?

So, did you even make an attempt to read the post about it? Or are you working on it yourself?

o'dium wrote:Ok, new beta.

Things to note:

(O) Same as before, this has ZERO vis work, so if the frame rate dips, its ok, dont worry about it. All I need os obvious bugs, sizes, clipping etc.

(O) This map is NOT FUCKING VISED.

O'dium, have you dropped it and are wanting someone else to pick it up in LEM?

Just curious because I noticed you started another map, so wasn't sure if you were still messing with this one or not.

I was lookin into it, I had some improvement. I can try and take some time this weekend to continue tweaking. I have my own projects on the go as well so its not a top priority.
