i got o'dium map running weeks ago at 60fps simply by caulking it ,relighting it and vis'ing it.
i think o'dium did a fantastic job and i love his detail work.
i can't even imagine how many hours he spent on it.
a big thank you sir .. well done.

on my hard drive .. a heavily butchered o'dium map .. duplicate planes many brushes removed .. tons of stuff.

not for release .. it's not my map.
it was me playing around seeing if i could get better fps.
mainly a learning experience

O'dium should just decide what to do with it. Let someone else finish it or do it yourself. Just make up you mind...

What a waste of time then. It looked pretty much done from the screenshots. Wrap it up, throw in one light source and call it a day. :p

Why hate? The game needs as many new maps as it can get. New being something other then the default ones released with the game. :icon26:

The reason nobody made it is the exact reason i i told you all to fuck yourself. You cant make Q3DM6 in the Quake 4 engine with todays machines with no changes to layout, and expect the same performance. It also seems to be the reason why levels that were in older games (Q2dm1) and remade for Quake 4, didn't just "cover over un changed" but had massive changes to reduce visibility.

So in other words, every time somebody makes this level the way its supposed to be, it fails, because its not what you want. And every time somebody tried to change the layout, it fails, because well its not want you want.

In other words, its not going to happen any time soon, not without massive changes that TBH will look silly anyways.
