did jesus really exist?
all signs point to no...paul the only moron who was close to being around at the time of jesus's death (10-20 years later) didn't think so...he only wrote about christ on the cross, the resurrection and the ascension...more in symbolic terms which he never places happening on earth...he never thought jesus was a human and he is the main link to the story...mark, matthew, luke and paul came much later (40-50 years after his death) much of mark and i believe luke's writings were plagerized...
jesus has more hero characterisics then hercules, zuess, jupiter, robinhood and apollo according to lord raglan's scale...which goes like this...
# The hero's mother is a royal virgin
# His father is a king and
# often a near relative of the mother, but
# the circumstances of his conception are unusual, and
# he is also reputed to be the son of a god
# at birth an attempt is made, usually by his father or maternal grandfather, to kill him, but
# He is spirited away, and
# Reared by foster-parents in a far country
# We are told nothing of his childhood, but
# On reaching manhood he returns or goes to his future kingdom.
# After a victory over the king and or giant, dragon, or wild beast
# He marries a princess, often the daughter of his predecessor and
# becomes king
# For a time he reigns uneventfully and
# Prescribes laws but
# later loses favor with the gods and or his people and
# Is driven from from the throne and the city after which
# He meets with a mysterious death
# often at the top of a hill.
# his children, if any, do not succeed him.
# his body is not buried, but nevertheless
# he has one or more holy sepulchres.
sounds like a bs story to me...u?...

theres a difference in "being a jesuit" and "believing there ever lived a guy on which all these bs stories are based on" mind.
im going for the latter. there mihtve been some guy named jesus around who perhaps was some kind of goodie twoshoes, but being the son of god, walking on water etc.. uh no.
