Depends how persistent you are and how long ago the card itself was manufactured. If you hound them and give them the card serial info, they should be able to trace the date the card was manufactured, and if that falls inside the warranty period you're in luck.
Of course, you'd have to hound them enough to have them bother to look it up. And depending on how old the card model is and how well it sold will determine how long before purchase your card was manufactured.
I guess this is all obvious. I dunno. Depends how much you care I s'pose.

Oh hey and don't forget that if you bought the card using your credit/debit card e.g. Online, then you can have a transaction receipt re-issued via them to prove you bought the item and when.

Well, it's a Geforce FX5500oc bought around 2 years ago. I did register it on their site on the day of purchase. Not the best card in the world but one I could hand down to someone less fortunate.
bfg has excellent warranty no? check their site for rma information, that should sort you out. usually you don't need to send out receipts/box for rma's

I've returned two cards with no problems. All they ask you to do if you don't have a receipt or a box, is to take a pic of the front and back of the card, then email it to their tech support. I just recently did this. I also gave them my CC info and they sent me a new card. When I send back the bad video card, they'll credit the money back to the CC. I did this on 1-31-07 and had my new card 2-5-07. They have a three bussiness day turn-around.
