While looking for some fast DDR2 800 memory on newegg I noticed in some reviews for various brands that some people reported it not runnning at CAS 4 when it said it was and some reported needing to change the voltage. Why is this so, it seems strange to me and I would hate to buy RAM that would'nt do as advertised.

All of them except Patriot sound pretty good. As for the voltage that isn't uncommon with performance RAM. If you need to bump the voltage a touch to run at faster timings it shouldn't be a problem, just make sure you read up on it first.
Well the Crucial Ballistix has a $45 mail in rebate that would drop the 2GB kit down to $70. Almost makes it too tempting to get 4GB, otherwise I was thinking Kingston HyperX.

What's the point of 4GB of ram on a 32-bit OS (I assume you are using XP 32)? Even if the OS can see it, it can't allocate enough memory addresses to make use of it.
