I actually like the way this thread is going. Though I can't quite put it into words, this is totally relevant to who the "best" is. We've got some who are into the technical abilities of the musicians and some into the artistic quality of the songs performed by them. We've also got a few that are into the way the music is interpreted by the artists. I think we might be close to defining "best".

I dunno.

Well by what criteria do you say toto are a great band who've done great songs if you don't even like them? I'll help you out here. They're some of the most technically competent musicians in the world who also happened to write great songs. It's just a shame you don't appreciate great songs or decent musicianship, as witnessed by your love of white stripes, lol.
while toto have written a few good singles, most of their output has been MOR pap.
